Location: Nduta Refugee Camp, Tanzania
Adeline has been an ECCD teacher for 2.5 years and specifically a Little Ripples teacher for 1.5 years. Her previous husband was killed in the violent conflict in Burundi and she arrived in Nduta in 2016 with her 4 children. After arriving in the camp, she met her current husband and they married in 2016. Together they have one child. Adeline does not know the whereabouts of the rest of her family, but hopes to reunite with them again someday. Adeline has a secondary school education.
“I was previously a primary school teacher in Burundi. When I first started working as an ECCD teacher here it was very difficult at first, but the Little Ripples trainings have helped me so much. Now I love teaching small children the most.”
