Margo giddy with anticipation to get on the pitch with the hopeful players tomorrow AM.
We have finally made it to the East and tryouts are set to begin at 6:00 am tomorrow morning! I am super excited and also really nervous. Let me explain the nervous part. I am a Southern girl with a thick twangy accent. Not only is there already a language barrier, but throw in a tough to understand accent…. well I’m sure you get the point. I suppose I’ll just learn to speak more slowly and just do some extra demonstrating to get my point across. Speaking of demonstrating: This is where the excitement and fun comes in! I get to be on the pitch tomorrow with some amazing men who have made a great journey to be able to attend this tryout. Pretty cool, right?! So as my excitement grows and I toss and turn tonight with giddy anticipation, I want to encourage all of you to check out the Darfur United site and help sponsor one of these men who will be competing for a spot on the Darfur United 2014 squad. The men will be working hard over the next few days fighting for a spot on the team, and once the team is chosen on Saturday, the team will be working even harder over the next few weeks in anticipation of the ConIFA World Football Cup in Sweden. We are all going to do our part in making sure we are game ready, and I hope you can help out a little bit too. See you from the pitch!
