As you can imagine, we are deeply concerned about our refugee friends during this time. We have worked on coming up with informative documents for them to share with their communities.


Coronavirus (Covid19_2019-nCoV) Facts and Precautions: This document has in-depth guidelines regarding Coronavirus, along with its symptoms, how it spreads, treatment/care, proper hand-washing techniques, facts vs. myths, and mindfulness exercises. Coronavirus Facts vs. Myths One-Pager: This one-pager discusses the myths that are circulating about Coronavirus through word of mouth and social media. Coronavirus Stay Safe at Home One-Pager (For Parents/Caregivers): Coronavirus Stay Safe at Home One-Pager (For Parents/Caregivers): This repeats precautions that need to be taken but also advises on how to talk about Coronavirus with children. For these communities that do not have access to the internet and many materials, this document highlights how to create a daily routine that fits their cultural context: incorporating mindfulness activities, storytelling, singing, learning, and play. Coronavirus Community Leader One-Pager: This document helps guide leaders in continuing to protect the safety and well-being of their community. It reiterates Coronavirus symptoms and precautions needed while also giving recommendations on how to address their communities moving forward: staying in their home units, protecting the more vulnerable, identifying leaders (a person in each home unit who can make sure members of their home unit are continuing to follow these important guidelines), and staying positive. Praying, Grieving, and Other Social Gatherings During COVID-19 One-Pager: The world is currently experiencing a global pandemic that is affecting every aspect of people’s lives, including praying, social and meal-time gatherings for important religious holidays, burial rituals, and grieving for every religion. This one-pager offers a guide for thinking about how to adjust these rituals during this time. There are also messages from religious leaders around the world. Wearing a Mask in Public:This document discusses why wearing a mask is important. Also, how to safely put on and wear a mask.
